When you win only 14 games the previous season, you only can go up from there, right? We can only hope so, but by the looks at the top of this conference, it is highly doubtful the Utes surpass 20 wins this season.
Key returning players for Utah include pitchers Brock Duke, Joe Pond and Mitch Watrous as well as two-year starting third baseman Trey Nielsen.
Key Series: Utah opens up the Pac 12 part of their schedule playing Cal at home. The Golden Bears are a middle of the pack type team from which the Utes might be able to steal a series. Doubtful, but crazier things have happened.
