Chasing Omaha Top-25 – 5/13/2013

Vanderbilt

It was an interesting weekend in college baseball, and the Chasing Omaha Top-25 reflects that.

For the first time this year, North Carolina is not the No. 1 team in the country. The Tar Heels drop to No. 3 after a series loss to No. 20 Georgia Tech, leaving the door open for Vanderbilt to take over the top spot.

The Top-10 teams are the same, with only a little movement in the Top-5 to accommodate for the Tar Heels’ drop from the top spot.

Oklahoma and Rice had big drops this week, the Sooners falling seven spots to No. 23 and the Owls dropping five spots to No. 25.

On the other hand, Kansas State debuts in the poll this week at No. 16 after taking control of the Big 12 Conference race this weekend.

South Alabama also debuts this week at No. 25.
